I’m Amber.

I work with individuals who are extremely stressed out and need a space to process feeling overworked, overwhelmed, and underappreciated.

Managing anxiety and burnout can feel like an endless loop. Maybe you feel disconnected and isolated, or it’s harder to keep up with your commitments. Together, we can create a healthy space to move forward using ART and talk therapy.

I hold space for the weirdos, the artists, the nerds, the philosophers, and the black sheep who are tired of trying so dang hard to put themselves in a box.

I’m also a therapist with a chronic illness. A few years ago, I began experiencing widespread pain and neuropathy paired with immense fatigue. Symptoms became so severe that I had to leave my old advertising career behind. After many referrals and tests, I learned that I have a disease called sarcoidosis, which affects various organs and nerves in the body. Because of this, I know what it’s like to feel weighted down while trying to keep yourself afloat. It also forces me to model anti-burnout strategies in my own practice. For instance, working telehealth allows me to meet my health needs so that I can be fully present for you.

In my free time, I love reading nonfiction and classic literature, thrifting, cuddling my beloved rescue dog, local sports, and playing card games. I also tend to go on nerdy, long-winded tangents about whatever topic has grabbed my attention at present (working on this). I also play too much Stardew Valley, the Sims, Fallout, and Baldur’s Gate 3.

My Specialties

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

Even if our lives look great on the outside, the impact of traumatic experiences can linger. ART is one of many evidence-based methods to help those whose lives are impacted by trauma or other difficult experiences that prevent us from making changes and living the life we want. My goal is to help clients heal from past trauma and pain so they can feel worthy, safe, and ready to face the world’s challenges.

Burnout, Anxiety, & Perfectionism

The impact of professional burnout can impact every aspect of everyday life. I love to work with burnt out therapists, social workers, healthcare providers, new parents, and anyone struggling with self-criticism, excessive worry, and rigidity. I’m here to help you feel more engaged in your work, more passionate about your purpose, and more hopeful about your future.
